The Ryan Meegan Memorial Alumni Soccer game was played on Aug.6, after a two-year hiatus. Twenty-five alumni soccer players from Ridgefield High School took the field for the friendly, two-hour game in Meegan’s memory.

After a two-year hiatus, the Ryan Meegan Memorial Alumni Soccer game was played on Aug. 6.

Twenty-five alumni soccer players from Ridgefield High School took the field for the two-hour friendly game in Meegan’s memory.

The Meegan family thanks all of the players and the supporting friends who were in attendance, for keeping the tradition alive.

Special thanks go to Daniel Standish and the Soccer Club of Ridgefield, SCOR, and Coaching Director Phil Bergen for all of their help in organizing the game, according to an email about the sporting event.

A Ridgefield resident, Ryan Meegan was in a fatal car crash Sept. 18, 2015.
