If you are thinking of adding a dog to your family’s pack, you should make an appointment to meet 14-month-old JD.

Why? First, he’s so handsome, with his smooth brindle coat and white markings, called “flash” — he might have a bit of Boxer in him. Second, he’s so smart. He already knows his “sit,” “down” and “touch” commands, and is eager to learn new ones, although his leash-walking skills need some more work. And third, he’s so loving. He loves to snuggle whether you’re sitting on the couch or on the floor.

JD exhibits playfulness, friendliness and loyalty. No doubt the JD stands for “Joyful Dog.” He plays well with other dogs his size, and although we see not an aggressive bone in his body, he is probably a bit too playful for a small dog.

JD is up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $350. To make an appointment to meet JD, call the ROAR Donofrio Animal Shelter at (203) 438-0158. Don’t miss out on this bright, energetic and joyful boy.
