Rides for Ridgefield to host fundraiser

Rides For Ridgefield, a nonprofit organization in town, will team up with the Ridgefield Office of Selectpeople for a special happy hour event on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 6 p.m. with a portion of the proceeds going to Rides For Ridgefield

First Selectman Rudy Marconi, alongside fellow Council members Bob Hebert, Maureen Kozlark, and Sean Connelly will act as guest bartenders, serving up cocktails and mocktails at The Lantern, located at 378 Main St. in Ridgefield.

The Lantern will donate 10 percent of the proceeds to Rides For Ridgefield, which will contribute to its mission of providing efficient transportation to improve the quality of life issue for seniors and individuals with mobility disabilities.

Guests are invited to enjoy light bites and drinks, and take part in raffles for the chance to win a number of prizes, and more. All are welcome to attend.
