RIDGEFIELD — Costume jewelry was taken from a home during a burglary that investigators believe happened over the weekend, police said on Thursday.

Capt. Jeff Raines said officers are investigating a reported burglary at a Peaceable Ridge Road home that happened sometime on April 16, sometime in the afternoon.

Raines said the alleged suspect or suspects forced their way into the home by breaking a basement window. He said an unknown amount of costume jewelry was taken.

The incident remains under investigation by the Detective Bureau.
