RIDGEFIELD — A box of jewelry was stolen from a Great Pond Road residence over the weekend, police said Monday.

Ridgefield police said officers responded to the home around 11:45 p.m. Saturday night, but they believe the incident occurred earlier in the evening, around 8:30 p.m.

Police said an investigation revealed forced entry was made into the home by breaking in through a basement window. A box containing jewelry was then stolen from the first floor, police said.

Capt. Shawn Platt said no one was home when the incident occurred.
