RIDGEFIELD — A painting crew got up close and personal with the spire atop Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church in Ridgefield on Tuesday to apply a fresh coat just in time for spring. Painters went up into a boom lift to work on the spire.

“They’ve painted the trim already and it feels like the building is getting a lovely face lift,” Communications Manager Heidi C. Yeranossian said. “Painting the spire just feels like a hopeful sign of better times.”
