The Ridgefield High baseball team's nine-game winning streak came to an end Friday with a 6-2 loss at Fairfield Ludlowe.

The Falcons (9-7) scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning and two more in the bottom of the sixth to rally from a 2-1 deficit.

Ridgefield (14-3) got its runs in the first and third innings. Devin Martin and Bryce Maher had the RBIs for the Tigers.

Maher and Jason Marra each had two hits.

Ridgefield starter Chip Papa pitched four and two-third innings, allowing three runs (all unearned) on four hits. Colin Virag followed Papa and gave up three runs on two hits. Phil Sammon got the final two outs in the bottom of the sixth.

Fielding woes hurt the Tigers, who committed five errors.
