The owner of Luc\u2019s Cafe, the French Bistro on Big Shop Lane, is opening a new restaurant in the former Little Pub restaurant space on the corner of Route 7 and Branchville Road, according to the property\u2019s landlord. Herve Aussavis plans to open a restaurant called Marc\u2019s Place, according to landlord Joseph Chelednik. A job-listing for Marc\u2019s Place posted on Linkedin says the restaurant is planning to open \u201cbefore summer,\u201d and describes the business as a bistro and gastro pub open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. \u201cHerve ... took over the space the day after The Little Pub closed,\u201d said Chelednik. Chelednik said he received several offers from other restaurant owners for the space. He described Aussavis as \u201ca true professional with 18 years in Ridgefield with Luc\u2019s Caf\u00e9.\u201d \u201cWe could not be happier to have a such a reputable person take over our property,\u201d he added. The Ridgefield Little Pub closed up shop at the end of March, after a decade at the location. The restaurant also has locations in Wilton, Greenwich, Fairfield and Old Saybrook.
