Library Lines: Finding a Good Book
Can you recommend a good book? That’s one of the most common questions we receive at the Ridgefield Library, and it’s our favorite one to answer!
Our staff are avid readers and are always happy to work with our patrons to find that just-right book. And we offer a special monthly book group, Books and Breakfast, specifically for sharing our recent reads and recommendations.
New members are always welcome — come hear about what others are reading over a generous breakfast spread. Books and Breakfast meets on the second Monday of the month at 10:30 a.m. For more information go the events calendar at ridgefieldlibrary.org.
We have lots of information for readers on our website — go to “Collections” and then “Finding a Good Book” to access a variety of resources. You can click through to Novelist Plus, an easy-to-use database for finding both fiction and nonfiction reading recommendations for all interests and age groups. Discover author and title read-alikes and book discussion guides, and search by genre, appeal factors, subject, and more for your reading pleasure.
