Letter: Re-elect Aimee Berger-Girvalo

State Rep. Aimee Berger-Girvalo knows the pocketbook issues effecting Senior citizens. She made it easier for Seniors to live in Ridgefield when she eliminated pension and annuity taxes for retirees making less than $75,000 a year.

She increased the state property tax credit from $200 to 300-that's a help. Cut the state gas tax to zero through December 1st of this year and she voted in favor of the largest tax cut in CT's history- a whopping $650 million dollars ! These actions have a positive impact.

As a senior , I'm happy that she voted to allow pharmacists, in collaboration with doctors, to adjust more medications without requiring as many in-person visits and expanded telehealth options. We need this kind of understanding of the importance of healthcare issues for Seniors in our town.

Aimee is a strong advocate for us in Hartford, committed to serving and sponsoring legislation and speaking in Committee or on the floor of the House. Her energy and experience as well as her sensitivity to the issues of Senior Citizens earned my vote.
