Danbury Road parking lot merger wins zoning approval

Goodbye, berm.

The Planning and Zoning Commission approved a special permit revision that combines two parking lots at 103 and 105 Danbury Road — the building that houses Ridgefield Kempo and other businesses across from Marty Motors — at its July 3 meeting.

The lots are currently separated by a concrete curb and narrow earthen berm. The division had originally been included as a condition in 105 Danbury Road’s special permit, as part of an agreement between the two developments’ previous owners. The lots have since been consolidated under the same owner — “105 Danbury Road LLC,” a company owned by Steve Zemo and Mike Taylor.

The commissioners present at the meeting all voted in favor of merging the two parking areas.
