Repairs to a broken water main on Governor Street should be completed in two to four hours, a foreman with the Aquarion Water Company said Thursday, June 21, at 9:30 a.m.

The repairs blocked off the westbound lane of traffic on Governor Street.

By 9:45 a.m., the four-man crew were still digging down to access the broken pipe.

The break is the second this week — on Tuesday, a break on North Street caused a water service outage for some 15 Aquarion customers on North Street and North Salem Road.

Aquarion’s website did not report any customers affected by the break on Thursday.
