A crash on Route 7 sent one person to the hospital around 2 p.m. Monday.

Two cars were involved, both with heavy front-end damage and requiring tows.

Police arrived on the scene followed by medics from the fire department.

The first tow truck arrived around 2:23.

One driver was brought to the hospital, complaining of head injury. The patient was described as "conscious and alert" after an airbag deployment.

Online traffic maps showed traffic moving along despite the crash.
