Connecticut’s women to be celebrated in Sherman
SHERMAN — An interactive multi-media program, “Celebrating 300 Years of Connecticut’s Remarkable Women,” will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Jewish Community Center.
Information about well-known figures like Ella Grasso, Katharine Hepburn and Marian Anderson and lesser-known heroines like Maria Sanchez, Barbara McClintock and Hannah Watson will be discussed.
The presentation will introduce attendees to the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame’s mission, programs and inductees.
Liz Krebs, of the Connecticut’s Women Hall of Fame, will speak.
The event is free, but donations are welcome.
