Bobby Valentine to speak in Stamford
STAMFORD — The Senior Men’s Association of Stamford is featuring Stamford’s own Bobby Valentine at the organization’s annual open house, which will be held Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church at 1101 Bedford St. at 10 a.m.
Valentine was a baseball player in the major leagues for 10 years and coached and managed the New York Mets. He has been in the broadcast booth and is currently the executive director of athletics at Sacred Heart University.
The Senior Men’s Association of Stamford is a nondenominational club for men of 55 years of age and older.
