Bethel superintendent to propose budget
BETHEL — The superintendent will present her budget proposal for the following academic year at Thursday’s school board meeting.
The budget for the 2019-20 school year is $46.4 million, which was a spending increase of 2.8 percent from the previous year. This increase was largely due to rising enrollment and state requirements.
Workshops will be held on the budget proposal on Jan. 28, Jan. 30, Feb. 4, Feb. 6 and Feb. 11, if needed.
Also on Thursday’s agenda is an update on the $65.8 million renovations to Rockwell and Johnson elementary schools.
The meeting is at 7 p.m. in Conference Room E in the municipal center.
