BETHEL — A local chef was crowned champion on the latest episode of Food Network’s “Chopped.”

Calin Sauvron, the executive chef at Note Kitchen and Bar, won the competition show against three other chefs.

Over three rounds, she made an appetizer, stuffed quail as an entree and a cheesecake for dessert.

The Note held an outdoor watch party to view the episode, which aired at 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Sauvron grew up in Connecticut and “specializes in unique food pairing and dishes with beautiful aesthetic appeal,” the Note says on its website. She began her professional career at Carmen Anthony’s in Waterbury and later became the executive chef for At The Corner in Litchfield.
