BETHEL — State Rep. Raghib Allie-Brennan, D-Bethel, is running for a second term in office.

Allie-Brennan, 28, represents the 2nd District, which covers Bethel and parts of Danbury, Newtown and Redding. He was elected in November 2018, beating one-term Republican State Rep. Will Duff.

“We are at a pivotal moment in Connecticut and, with your steadfast support, my place is in the statehouse continuing to address the issues facing the residents of the 2nd District,” Allie-Brennan said in a Facebook post. “That's why I’m running for re-election.”

The Bethel resident said he has worked to bring state dollars to local towns and focused on issues such as the opioid epidemic and affordable housing.

He is collecting donations to qualify for clean election funding from the state.
