If your children enjoy cooking, then they will love Ridgefield Parks & Recreation’s Tiny Chefs: Chopped Camp. Each day, campers ages 6- to 10-years old, will be presented with a basket with three or four ingredients reflecting different cuisines — French, Italian, Mexican, Asian and All-American. Using those ingredients and working within those cuisines, they will challenge themselves to make mouthwatering specialties, traditional favorites, and explore new ingredients, tastes, and combinations. Camp runs from August 19 to August 23 and meets from 9 a.m. to noon at the Recreation Center.
Does your child love science experiments? At our Mad Science Camp, for children in first through fifth grade, campers will create crazy chemical reactions that explode, crackle, and glow in the dark. Piece by piece, throughout our camp, children will get to put together their very own home lab, complete with beakers, test tubes, and all the tools of a great mad scientist. Camp runs from August 19 to August 23 and meets from 9 a.m. to noon at the Recreation Center.
