Stuff a Van: ROAR collects dog, cat food at Stop and Shop

Feeding Ridgefield's homeless animals was made a lot easier Sunday thanks to generous shoppers who participated in ROAR's "Stuff a Van" event at Stop and Shop.

"The Stop and Shop customers were very generous," said ROAR Executive Director Kerry Dobson.

How much food was donated? Here's a breakdown:

  • 24 bags of cat food at 124 pounds total

  • 30 bags of dog food at 287 pounds total

  • 52 boxes/pouches of dog treats

  • 87 cans of dog food

  • 22 packets of cat treats

  • 245 cans of cat food

  • 12 pouches of cat broth

  • 294 pounds of kitty litter

ROAR collected 294 pounds of cat litter, 245 cans of cat food, 54 bags of cat and dog food (totaling 411 pounds), and 52 boxes of dog treats
