Movement classes at Ridgefield Continuing Education

Movement classes that help participants develop core strength and flexibility, strengthen bone density, improve posture and balance, and meet fitness goals start soon in Ridgefield Continuing Education.

Cardio workouts include Zumba (starts Monday, April 23, and Wednesday, April 25, 6 to 7 p.m.); Fit for Life (Tuesday, April 24, 6 to 7 p.m.) and Line Dance (Wednesday, April 25, 7 to 8 p.m.).

Total Barre with Frances Goulart (Monday, April 23, 6 to 7 p.m.) is a combination of Pilates, ballet and strength training done to upbeat cardio music.

Gentle Yoga with Shanta Marshall Ballou starts Monday, April 23, and Wednesday, May 9 (seven sessions, 7:15 to 8:30 p.m., $84).

Vinyasa Slow Flow Yoga with Lynn Priest starts Thursday, May 17 (7 to 8:15 p.m.).

Morning Yoga Kickstart with Miriam Zernis starts Monday, April 23 (9:30 to 10:30 a.m.).
