Grill sales to benefit library
In April, the Ridgefield Supply Company announced that it became a Ridgefield Library community partner and would be donating $25 per grill sale through Labor Day weekend toward the library’s STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) programs.
“It means so much to us at the Ridgefield Library that residents looking for new summer gear are taking this opportunity to support both our Children’s STEAM programs and the Ridgefield Supply Company, a great local business. We all win!,” said Ridgefield Library Director Brenda J. McKinley.
Partnering to support the library is just one of the many initiatives that Ridgefield Supply Company takes part in as part of its charitable giving.
“We focus on specific organizations that assist childhood development, women/children shelters in need and select housing/shelter opportunities,” Ridgefield Supply Company President Glen Albee said.
As of the first week in June, almost a dozen grills had been purchased, which will provide a donation of more than $200 for this initiative.
“The library can make $20 go a long way,” McKinkley explained. “Any amount can help us purchase materials for our STEAM programs, from LEDs to magnets to supplies for the 3D printer! We are truly grateful for Ridgefield Supply and the community for helping us serve you!”
