25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee arrives at ACT this weekend

Winner of the Tony and the Drama Desk Awards for Best Book, the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee has charmed audiences across the country with its effortless wit and humor.

Featuring a fast-paced, wildly funny and touching book and a truly fresh and vibrant score by William Finn, this bee is one unforgettable experience.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee follows six awkward adolescents through their daunting and hilarious championship quest. As they navigate the tournament’s pressures, the eccentric coterie finds a new sense of belonging.  Along the way, they learn that there is more to life than winning a trophy!

Performances are Thursday through Sunday at ACT of Connecticut, with matinees on Saturday and Sunday.
