Top Connecticut high school girls soccer performances from Week 5

TOP PERFORMERS

Kaleigh Harden, New Canaan: Scored both goals in the Rams’ 2-1 victory over Darien.

Emily Walker, St. Paul, and Kate Wickenheisser, Oxford: In an incredible offensive display, Walker scored all four goals for St. Paul and Wickenheisser had a hat trick for Oxford in St. Paul’s 4-3 victory.

Mia Montero, Career/Hillhouse: Scored the team’s first goal of the season in North Haven’s 8-1 win.

Kali Lucke, Pomperaug: Had a hat trick in the Panthers’ 3-0 win over Bunnell.

Mia Ferreira, Shelton: Had a hat trick in Shelton’s 4-1 victory over Lyman Hall.

Kendall Contadini, Wolcott Tech: Scored all four goals in Wolcott Tech’s 4-0 win over Wilcox Tech. Contadini also had a hat trick in Wolcott Tech’s 6-0 victory over Platt Tech.

Lauren Sonski, Naugatuck: Had a goal and three assists in the Greyhounds’ 4-1 win over Torrington.

Addy Earl, Granby: Hat trick helped Granby blank Coventry 5-0.

GAMES TO WATCH

Notre Dame-Fairfield at Newtown, Thursday, 6 p.m.: Notre Dame likely comes into the game unbeaten in the SWC while Newtown had an eight-game winning streak snapped on Saturday with a scoreless tie against Seymour.

Hand at Amity, Friday, 3:45 p.m.: Amity will try to avenge its only loss at home. The Tigers won 3-1 at the Surf Club.

Pomperaug at Ridgefield, Saturday, 10 a.m.: An intriguing late-season, non-conference showdown pitting the SWC against the FCIAC.

Wilton at St. Joseph, Monday, 4 p.m.: Another great Monday FCIAC game featuring the league’s best team trying to score on the league’s best goalkeeper.

Mercy at Cheshire, Tuesday, 6 p.m.: Should go a long way in impacting the SCC playoff standings. Mercy defeated Cheshire 1-0 last month.
