Often considered a forerunner of the Oscars, the ceremony presents accolades voted on by actors themselves.
Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan, who have scored Oscar nominations and Globe Globe wins for “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” took home SAG Awards Sunday night alongside co-star Jamie Lee Curtis.
The best ensemble award was given to the drama series “The White Lotus” and the comedy series “Abbott Elementary.”
Here are the nominees and winners with ties to Connecticut:

The actor won for his comeback role as Charlie in "The Whale." Fraser plays a morbidly obese English teacher who aims to reconnect with his daughter.
“So this is what the multiverse looks like!” an emotional Fraser exclaimed when accepting the award. His performance also won him a Screen Actors Guild Award and a Golden Globe nomination.
Fraser, a New York resident, often visits Greenwich and is a major supporter of Abilis, a nonprofit in lower Fairfield County that helps people with developmental disabilities.

The actress took home her first SAG award for her performance as Deirdre Beaubeirdra in "Everything Everywhere All at Once."
Before starring in the 1978 horror classic "Halloween," the actress attended Choate Rosemary Hall in Wallingford for her senior year. In 1996, she recieved an alumnae award from the school.

Ralph and her fellow cast members won for their performance in the ABC sitcom "Abbott Elementary."
The actress and singer was born in Waterbury. She attended Driggs Elementary School and Notre Dame Academy in the city before moving to New York.

White is the creator and writer of "The White Lotus," the HBO anthology series that one the SAG award for best drama series ensemble, and Tucker is the show's casting director.
The two studied at Wesleyan University, where they met in an acting class freshman year. They have remained close friends since graduating in 1992.

The four-time Oscar winner produced and starred in "Women Talking," a film about women in an isolated religious community who struggle to reconcile their faith after a series of sexual assaults.
McDormand graduated from the Yale School of Drama in 1982.

The actress was nominated for her performance as Queen Ramonda in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever."
Bassett graduated from Yale University in 1980 and the Yale School of Drama in 1983. In 2018, she received an honorary degree from the university and Peter Salovey, the president of Yale, has described her as a “chameleon of film, television and stage.” She’s acted in on and off-Broadway productions and in television and film.

Dano, a former Wilton resident, plays Burt Fabelman in the semi-autographical film partly based on director Steven Spielberg’s childhood. During his childhood, the American actor’s family lived in New Canaan and Wilton. He graduated from Wilton High School in 2002.

Linney stars in the Netflix crime drama alongside SAG winner Jason Bateman and fellow nominee Julia Garner.
The actress is a longtime Salisbury resident and one of the recipients of a comedy award given by the Mark Twain Library.

Garner received a nomination for her performance as Anna (Sorkin) Delvey, the titular role in the miniseries, "Inventing Anna" and as Ruth in the drama series "Ozark."
The actor graduated from Eagle Hill School located in Greenwich, according to the school’s Facebook page, which posted about Garner's Emmy win in 2019.
