Connecticut resident Patti LuPone walked into the 2022 Tony Awards on Sunday with two Tonys to her name. By the time the night of celebrating the best stage performances of the year concluded, she left with a third in hand.
LuPone took home the award for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for her portrayal of Joanne in the musical comedy, “Company,” at this year’s 75th Annual Tony Awards. She was nominated alongside fellow “Company” star Jennifer Simard, as well as Jeannette Bayardelle (“Girl From the North Country”), Shoshana Bean (“Mr. Saturday Night”), Jayne Houdyshell (“The Music Man”) and L Morgan Lee (“A Strange Loop”).
