$1,000 reward for help finding missing dog Bugsy

Kristi Vaughan reports her family’s pug/Jack Russell mix, Bugsy, has been missing for over a week, and the Vaughans are offering a $1,000 for help finding the little guy.

“As many living in the Farmingville area know, our dog Bugsy (a small Pug/Jack Russell mix) went missing following loud fireworks the night of Sept 2,” writes Ms. Vaughan. “We have made telephone calls, posted flyers and signs and with the help of friends and neighbors walked for miles in the area surrounding Hunter Lane where she was last seen. But with no luck.

“Because of her size and disposition we believe it unlikely that she entered Great Swamp voluntarily. As such we are hopeful that she is either still wandering around disoriented, is hiding in a shed or garage or has been taken in by a kind person. If you have seen her or are caring for please let us know. There is a $1000 reward being offered for information leading to her return.

“Please call us at 203-733-6469 or call the town’s Canine Officer at 203-431-2711.

“And, because it is possible she could have wandered to another town, please help us spread the word by liking the facebook page [facebook.com/PleaseHelpUsFindBugsy] or calling your friends in nearby towns.”

We’ve all heard of the miracle pets who have returned weeks later, we are hoping for that miracle here. If you see her, please be aware that she is shy and timid and may not come when called. Food should help but call us as soon as possible.
