Social marketing expert to speak to B.I.G. women’s network

B.I.G., a women’s business organization that stands for Believe, Inspire, and Grow, will sponsor a talk on “Demystifying Social Media: A Strategic View from 5,000 Feet” on Wednesday, Sept. 5, at noon at Sagi Cucina Italiana on Catoonah Street.

Lynn Moore, chief community officer at Moore Marketing, LLC in Southport, will speak.

“I know there’s a lot of anxiety out there regarding social media,” Ms. Moore says. “This presentation gives me a chance to put that in perspective and empower small businesses to understand the interconnectedness of social media. These are actually free opportunities to promote yourself.”

Ridgefield residents Amy Nadoraski and Angela Campbell launched the town’s own B.I.G. chapter in March. The group meets on the first Wednesday of every month at noon in the upstairs room at Sagi. All area women are invited. Lunch is optional for $15 per person (drink, tax, and gratuity included).
