Lavinia LaFonte, 74, longtime Ridgefielder, worked at Ullman

 
Lavinia Lillian LaFonte, a longtime Ridgefield resident, died Sunday, June 24, at Danbury Hospital. She was 74 years old.
A native of White Plains, N.Y., Ms. LaFonte was born on Jan. 22, 1938, daughter of the late Bertha and Joseph Muccini.
A resident of Ridgefield since 1981, she worked for 24 years at Ullman Devices on Route 7, retiring in 2008. She was a member of Founders Hall and of St. Mary Church.
Survivors include her son John LaFonte and his wife, Linda, of Danbury, and their children, Christopher and Nicole; two brothers, Joseph Muccini and his wife, Carol, of Port Chester, N.Y., and Bruno Muccini and his wife, Dorothy, of Fulton, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, July 16, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Georgetown. Internment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
There are no calling hours.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Mary Church, 183 High Ridge.
