Dr. Patricia Rosenberger, 57, VA psychologist, professor

Dr. Patricia Hirt Rosenberger of Hamden, Connecticut, formerly of Ridgefield, Connecticut, died Wednesday, June 20th, 2012 at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven. She was 57.
Born 12 February 1955 in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Evelyn Hirt of Okemos, Michigan.
Dr. Rosenberger graduated with high distinction from the University of Michigan and received her PhD from the University of Illinois. She was a clinical psychologist at the VA Connecticut Healthcare System in West Haven, CT and an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine.
She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in New Haven.
She is survived by two daughters, Greta, of New Haven, Connecticut, and Lise, of New York, New York; brother, Rudy Hirt, and his wife, Mary Jo, of Okemos, Michigan; sister, Judy Moore, and her husband, Reginald, of Redditch, England.
She was a beloved mother and an example of grace and kindness to all who met her. She will be deeply missed.
The funeral service will be at 11 am on Saturday, June 30, at St. John’s Episcopal in New Haven, with the Rev. Kathryn Greene-McCreight presiding.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer that memorial donations be sent to St. John’s Episcopal Church, 400 Humphrey Street, New Haven, CT 06511.
Arrangements are with the Hawley Lincoln Memorial, 493 Whitney Ave., New Haven.
