Gun safety advocates endorse Henry Hall

Voters for Gun Safety, a statewide political action committee that describes itself as helping to elect candidates who support strong Connecticut gun laws, has endorsed Henry Hall, who is running for state representative in the 138th District, which covers Danbury and New Fairfield along with the portion of Ridgefield north of George Washington Highway.

Voters for Gun Safety is made up of a broad coalition of state groups including the Connecticut chapter of the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, the Enough Campaign, the Greenwich Council Against Gun Violence, March for Change, Newtown Action Alliance, the Northwest Corner Committee for Gun Violence Prevention, and Women on Watch, and has received enthusiastic support from leaders of the gun safety and gun violence prevention movement in this state and across the country.

When you say ‘gun safety advocates, you mean the NRA right?

After all, they teach more people how to handle firearms safely every single year than all the other groups combined.

However the groups you mentioned AREN’T gun safety groups, they are GUN CONTROL groups. Also known colloquially as “gun-grabbers” or even anti-rights groups.

These groups do nothing to promote gun safety, they want guns outlawed completely, never mind the common sense arguments that such a position is ridiculous and utopian in the extreme.

For a University to get such basic terminology wrong is deeply upsetting.

For a religious university to take sides in a political battle (which is all gun control is about) is even worse.

So you obviously didn’t like my first comment, pointing out that these groups are not gun “safety”, but gun CONTROL groups.

It’s obvious from the article that you are biased against the Second Amendment. It’s even more of a shame to see a news outlet that won’t support the First either.

Pathetic. Why even have a comment page?
