To the Editor:
The Board of Selectmen needs to be fair to the senior citizen taxpayers of Ridgefield. This is about justice, not politics.
Seniors make up 15% of the population but only receive approximately 1% of Ridgefield’s tax collection.
Where is the integrated strategic thinking and financial analysis?
If a senior is pushed out of their Ridgefield home due to high taxes, it’s likely that a family with children will move in and drive town expenses higher.
Since we all get old, a bigger tax break for seniors is a fair deal for everyone!
