Split for Ridgefield High golf teams

The Ridgefield High boys and girls golf teams split their road matches on Monday.

At the Silvermine Country Club in Norwalk, the Ridgefield girls team defeated host Wilton, 176-180.

Alyssa Maiolo earned medalist honors for the Tigers by shooting a 36.

She was followed by Caroline Bunt and Avery Simoneau with 45’s and Jenna Harford with a 50.

Karli Williams led Wilton with a 43. Maya Fazio and Sophia Kammerman both shot 45’s and Madeline Pennino came in with a 47.

Ridgefield is now 8-3 this season, while Wilton dropped to 2-8.

Also playing an away match, the Ridgefield boys team lost to unbeaten Greenwich, 159-179, at The Millbrook Club in Greenwich.
Mark Habeeb shot a 43 to lead the Tigers (8-5 overall). Oliver Frossell added a 44, and Heston Pinard (45) and Chris Flynn (47) also contributed to Ridgefield’s team score.
Greenwich’s Billy Nail was the medalist with a 37. Jackson Fretty (40), Ben Ropiak (41) and Chris Maglioco (41) rounded out the scoring for the Cardinals, who improved to 13-0 this season.
