ROARings: Cat mom to the rescue

Bernadette —Brandi Knoche photo

One of our beloved ROAR stories is about Willy the cat who became a blood donor for another cat. We have a wonderful new story about a little tuxedo, equally compassionate to other felines.

Bernadette had two little kittens and nursed them lovingly. After they were off on their own, a pair of orphaned kittens were rescued. What could be done for these two motherless kittens?  Bernadette to the rescue. She welcomed them as if they were her own and nursed them as well.

Bernadette is just 2 years old and as cute as a button. She is playful and spunky but also enjoys gentle belly rubs. She’s waiting for a very loving family to come and visit and share their home with her. She is up to date with all necessary vaccinations and has been spayed.

ROAR is located at 45 South Street. Our website, roar-ridgefield.org, gives information about open hours, adoptable cats and dogs and volunteer opportunities.

Reminder: Hot weather is here. Please do not leave pets in your car. If you see a pet locked in a car, call 203-431-2711.
