Owner seeks lost Chinese Crested dog

"Breeze" is a hairless, seven-pound Chinese Crested.

“Breeze” is a hairless, seven-pound Chinese Crested. She disappeared Saturday from a home in northern Wilton and is owned by a Redding woman.

A small and unusual dog vanished last weekend, and the owner is offering a reward for its return.

Breeze, a seven-pound Chinese Crested, took off from a Wilton home where it was staying on Saturday, May 4.

The house where the dog was staying is on Branch Brook Road, south of the Ridgefield line near Weir Fair National Historic Site in the Nod Hill section of town.

The owner lives on Marchant Road in Redding, not far from Ridgefield’s eastern line, and she figures the dog may be trying to make its way home through Ridgefield.

The dog, a hairless breed, was last seen in Wilton around 2 p.m.

“She is shy and skittish, but extremely sweet and frightened,” said the owner.

Anyone seeing Breeze has been asked to call the owner at 203-770-7535, to email her at [email protected], or to call police.
