Art with a circus theme is focus at Branchville

SCH-BVL-SculptorStudents from Branchville School were treated to a visit recently from sculptor Susan Clinard, who talked with the children about a variety of media used in making sculpture. Ms. Clinard’s visit was in conjunction with the Branchville PTA’s Art Connections enrichment program, in which students study and create artwork in the style of three celebrated artists. This year’s program has a circus theme and draws inspiration from Ms. Clinard, as well as Alexander Calder and Marisol Escobar. Student’s artwork will be exhibited artwork in the windows of Fairfield County Bank Insurance Services, 401 Main Street, beginning mid-May.
