An infant and children’s boutique will take over the Main Street storefront that previously housed the Purple Frog gift and clothing shop.
Sammy and Nat, a Rye, N.Y.-based “luxe cotton baby and child brand,” is planning to open its second retail store at 414 Main Street.
“She actually imports her own fabric and manufactures their own clothing, this is not off the rack stuff,” said John Devine, vice chairman of the Ridgefield Economic and Community Development Commission. “Their lease is signed, they’ve been in front of the sign commission — they’re ready to roll.”
“It’s always good when someone has a second store,” said Chairman Arnold Light
Purple Frog left the storefront on Dec. 31, one of several Main Street businesses that closed up shop at the end of the year.
Devine said the only storefront on Main Street left to be filled is the former Rockwell Art and Framing space at 470 Main Street.
He said the Atria assisted living office is also planning to vacate its current location at 392 Main Street.
