To the Editor:
Having lived in Ridgefield for 39 years, we’ve observed many changes, enjoyed the opportunities that our community offers and are fortunate enough to retire at our address we call home.
Parks and Recreation is a draw for many families as well as seniors. I’m confused as to why the decision is being made to price out those who are on fixed incomes, enjoy the facilities, exercise, socializing and all around good stewards using your facilities.
If financial is the bottom line, pickleball metaphorically speaking, is a grain of sand compared to other boulders to build from.
Please reconsider your decision and keep the idle courts used, income, brain and body exercise and most importantly good community spirit.
Positive energy attracts. Negative, does not.
