RHS boys hockey team blanks South Windsor, 2-0

Goals from Paul Garlick and Liam Smith lifted the Ridgefield High boys hockey team to a 2-0 win over South Windsor in a non-conference game Monday afternoon at the Winter Garden.

It was the sixth straight victory for Ridgefield, which improved to 9-3 overall. It was also the Tigers’ second win this season over South Windsor, following a 7-1 triumph Dec. 27 in West Haven.

Shane Luery, Cam McGuire and Alex Rowella had one assist apiece for Ridgefield.

Dusty Rausa and Alec Schneider combined for the shutout in goal for the Tigers.

South Windsor fell to 4-7 with the loss, which ended a two-game winning streak.
