Watershed Gallery on Governor Street will host a children’s art exhibition and silent auction to benefit the Molly Ann Tango Memorial Foundation on Friday, Jan. 11, from 6 to 8 p.m.

The “Young at Art Exhibition” will feature work from students in kindergarten to 12th grade, which will be auctioned to raise funds for children with special needs. Student artists interested in participating should register by Sunday, Dec. 30.

“This is an opportunity to showcase talented young artists, and for those artists to help other children,” said Jennifer Mathy of Watershed Gallery.

“The Molly Ann Tango Memorial Foundation has done tremendous work in and around this area — providing vital medical equipment, funding playgrounds and supporting families with special needs children. We wanted to do our part to aid their efforts.”

Interested student artists may submit one work of art, be it a photo, painting, drawing, print or sculpture.

Submission guidelines and registration forms may be obtained by visiting or by visiting the gallery at 23 Governor Street.

Registration fees are $15 per artist, with all proceeds going to the foundation.
