With nine players contributing points, the Ridgefield High girls basketball team routed Westhill, 60-33, in the season opener for both teams Wednesday night in Ridgefield.
The Tigers took control early, leading 12-6 at the end of the first quarter and 21-9 at halftime.
Sophomore Kate Garson led Ridgefield with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Garson scored 12 of her points in the opening half, including eight in the second quarter.
Classmate Katie Flynn also reached double figures for the Tigers, finishing with 10 points.
Faith Arnold and Cameron McClellan each added six points, and Kate Wagner and Megan Klosowski had five points apiece. McClellan hit the game’s only two three-pointers.
Kelly Chittenden and Rachel Tomasetti each scored four points and Jamie Narciso had two points.
Grace Hansen (13) and Peyton Hackett (11) combined for 24 of Westhill’s 33 points.
