Obituary: Bessie Feduzi Krysiewich, 97, formerly of Ridgefield

Bessie Feduzi Krysiewich, 97, formerly of Ridgefield, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 in Salem, New Hampshire. She was the loving wife of the late Walter Krysiewich.

Bessie was born in Chicago, IL on May 30, 1921, a daughter of the late Biagio and Louise (Storoni) Feduzi.

A longtime Ridgefield resident, Bessie was a bookkeeper at the Ridgefield Medical Group. She was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Bessie was an active member of the OWLS. She has participated in the Retired and Senior and Voluntary Program, she worked at voting locations, helped with the teas and other activities at the Founders Hall, volunteered for the RVNA’s flu clinic, and knitted hats and made quilts for cancer patients at the Praxair Cancer Center. She was a founding member of the Ridgefield Chapter of Regional Hospice and was honored with the Ridgefield Community Leadership Award.

Bessie is survived by her two daughters, Janet Gregsak and her husband, Bill and Carol Hackett and her husband, George. In addition, she is survived by 5 grandchildren, Nick, John, Jaclyn, Jess and Julie.

Bessie was treasured by many in town and although her last few months were spent in New Hampshire, her heart never left Ridgefield.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 10:15 AM at St. Mary’s Church, 55 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ridgefield. Friends were received on Monday, December 3, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Kane Funeral Home, 25 Catoonah Street, Ridgefield.
