The Ridgefield High School Visual and Performing Arts Department has announced its 2018-19 school year theater performances. During the weekend of Nov. 15 to 18, students will perform Almost, Maine by John Cariani. Almost, Maine, the most frequently produced play by American high schools for the past four years, is a series of vignettes about falling in and out of love on a winter night in northern Maine. Seating will be on the stage of the Anne S. Richardson Auditorium.
On Jan. 24 through 26 and Feb. 1 and 2, the department will present an evening of student-directed one-act plays to be performed in the Black Box Theatre.
In mid-March, audiences can look forward to the spring musical, The Addams Family.
Based on the classic Charles Addams cartoons, and popularized on television and in movies, The Addams Family musical was first performed on Broadway in 2010 The Addams Family will be performed in the Richardson Auditorium, weekends, March 15 to March 23.
Tickets for Almost, Maine will be available at the door on performance days and on sale online at rhsperformingarts.info, beginning Nov. 5. Tickets are $15/adults and $10/students and seniors.
