Stamford man arrested for attempted robbery at state line gas station

A Stamford man was arrested on two counts of criminal mischief in the third degree on South Salem Road, N.Y., around midnight Saturday, July 7.

Police said that Kevin Defelice, 36, broke the front window of the Stateline Exxon gas station in attempt to rob the store.

According to a report, Defelice also damaged a police cruiser once he was in custody.

Police estimated that Defelice caused $500 worth of damages.

He was released on a promise to appear in court and given a July 24 court date in Danbury.
