Drew Cole (Arcoleo) will need all the support he can get from his hometown when he takes the stage next week during The Voice‘s “Live Playoffs” round.
The Ridgefield High School graduate will perform in front of The Voice judges but this time his performance will depend on real-time voting and results from the national audience.
The show begins 8 p.m. Monday, April 16. There will be two additional shows at the same time Tuesday, April 17, and Wednesday, April 18. The first night is a two-hour episode, and one-hour shows the following two nights.
“Get ready to vote for The Voice Monday! Drew Cole (Arcoleo), who grew up in Ridgefield, would love to have you on his team,” Drew’s mom, Caroline, told The Press Friday, April 13.
The top 24 artists — six artists from each team — will perform Monday, April 16, and during the Live Playoff round and compete for a spot in the top 12. At the end of the telecast, the artist with the most votes from each team will advance to the Top 12.
“My musical career started in Ridgefield,” Cole told The Press back in March.
He claimed three Battle of the Band championship trophies at RHS with his band Insinu and played at the Ridgefield Playhouse’s Band Jam, performing alongside with his best friend, Richie Hume.
“I love living in LA but I still miss a lot of things about being back home, like the pizza,” he said. “They just don’t know how to make it out here.”
