What are your hopes and dreams?
It was a question written on dozens of posters raised by Ridgefield High School students during Wednesday’s “Lap of Love” memorial rally for the victims who lost their lives in the Feb. 14 school shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida.
More than 98% of the RHS student body — 1,600-plus students — turned out for the 17-minute remembrance activity for the 17 victims.
The event, which was planned over the last two weeks by student leaders, took place a month after the shooting in Florida.
There’s another scheduled activity to take place at RHS on April 20 — the 19th anniversary of the Columbine High School massacre. That event will protest gun violence.
