Thrift Shop: What’s in store for you

What do shamrocks, bunnies, a doll carriage, a clarinet, a tambourine, and I have in common? You can find them all at the Thrift Shop.

Shamrocks and bunnies, you guessed it — St. Patrick’s Day and Easter are the next holidays.  Time to decorate. The vintage doll carriage is made of white wicker and has years of use remaining as a toy or decoration. The clarinet is also vintage and comes with a Brilhart Ebolin mouthpiece.

We have a tambourine, t a m b o u r i n e, tambourine. That’s a great spelling bee word.  Speaking of which, I will be representing the Thrift Shop in the RVNA Community Spelling Bee on March 7 at 7 p.m. at the Ridgefield Playhouse. Come support your favorite columnist and the RVNA. Visit the RVNA website (ridgefieldvna.org), find the spelling bee link and buy a ticket or make a donation. Remember to choose Carol Gardell, Ridgefield Thrift Shop, as your favorite contestant. I can spell, and I like to win, but my real goal is for the Thrift Shop to be the top fund-raiser for the event.

Stop by and shop at 21B Governor Street Monday through Friday from 12 to 4 and Saturday from 10 to 2. If you find me there, please test my spelling.
