Ridgefield Aquatic Club swimmers AJ Bornstein, Lindsey Gordon and Kieran Smith have been included in the 2011-2012 USA Swimming National Top 10 Recognition Program.
This is a national awards program recognizing the country’s top-10 ranked swimmers in each event by age.
Bornstein was ranked 10th in the 200-yard breaststroke (age 11) and ninth in the 200-meter breaststroke (age 12) while Gordon was ranked 10th in the 100-meter breaststroke (age 12).
Smith (age 11) was ranked second in the 50-yard butterfly, eighth in the 100-yard butterfly, fifth in the 200-yard butterfly, ninth in the 500-yard freestyle, third in the 400-meter individual medley, and 10th in the 200-meter butterfly.
