Two Ridgefielders were the big winners at Sunday’s 36th annual Ridgefield Pamby Motors Half Marathon.
Bryan Kovalsky, 33, was the overall winner in a time of one hour, 11 minutes and 26 seconds for the 13.1-mile course.
Kovalsky, a former cross country and track standout at Ridgefield High, who is now coaching those teams at the school, averaged 5:27 per mile.
Art Gunther, 41, of Nyack, N.Y., was just 34 seconds behind Kovalsky, finishing second in 1:12.00.
Blair Cullen, 34, of Ossining, N.Y., was third with a time of 1:17.12.
Cotter, meanwhile, was the first female finisher in 1:25.24. She was 14th overall.
Carolina Pena of Old Greenwich was the second female finisher in 1:29.30.
Four hundred and sixth-nine runners finished the race.
