Genealogist McKeen on writing family history

The Middlesex Genealogical Society and the Darien Library will present a free genealogy program, “Putting Flesh on the Bones of Your Ancestors — Writing a Family History” with Toni McKeen of Ridgefield on Saturday, March 14, from 2 to 3:30 at the Darien Library, 1441 Post Road, Darien.

Ms. McKeen will discuss how to organize the project into small steps and plan chapters, as well as how to produce a book.

“Documenting your family history is important for both you and future generations who will love reading it and will cherish it,” Ms. McKeen said.

She has been doing genealogy research on her own extensive Italian family, her husband’s Irish family and her son-in-law’s German family for the last 29 years..

Attendees may arrive at 1 p.m. and discuss their family history project. For additional details, see mgs.darien.org/meetings.htm. The program is free and open to the public.
